Joyful Giving Philosophy

At theAlley we believe in a Biblical tithe, meaning that we joyfully give of our time, energy and money to the direct service of God not because we are “guilted to” but because we “get to”. (2 Corinthians 9:7, Acts 2:45). An offering, no matter how great the amount, that is not given out of joy, is not a sweet sacrifice to God.

Giving Biblically is a heart issue, not a pocketbook one. (Psalm 51:16-17, Mark 12:41-44). God has no need for our stuff, but He desires our affection and our hearts.

With that understanding, we invite you to come along side of us in supporting the work and ministry of theAlley. May he hold all of us accountable to be using our time, our money and our resources to His glory alone. May we recognize that all comes from Him and be moved to use all that we have and are to His glory. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)
